Various new and typical tourism products have been restored to offer to tourists to Duong Lam ancient village in Son Tay City, Ha Tay Province, the relic management board has announced.

Duong Lam Ancient Village, 60 kilometres from Hanoi, has a history of about 1,200 years with many houses dating back up to 400 years. It is the only place in Vietnam where two kings came from. It is also the only ancient village to be rated as a national relic.

Visitors to the Viet ancient village now can enjoy traditional performances of Cheo (popular opera) right at the village's communal house and see displays of many household utensils in the daily lives of the local people as well as their agricultural tools such as rice mortars, traditional tools to make candies and thick soya sauce.

Especially, tourists can also join the local people in producing local specialties such as soft green-lentil cake and rice cake filled with brown onion and enjoy these products.

Duong Lam village has welcomed more than 8,000 foreign and domestic tourists so far this year.
